What do you think?
My most complex panorama yet. 23 horizontal and 17 vertical photographs I chose this scene to work with because of the challenges in the clouds, water, the dark tree line and field. Each presenting their own exposure demands on a day like it was, early this past December. As you can see from the results the camera was hand-held. The clouds were moving, thank goodness not too quickly, but it was enough to make merging many photos a big mess. Having attempted this sort of scene before, the possibility for utter and complete failure is not unfamiliar to me. I finally found the time to make the panoramic last night. Each RAW file was individually adjusted for exposure and fill light to represent the scene as much as possible as it looked at the time the photos were made. Color was not vivid that day at all... another part of the challenge. The files were then converted to JPEG saved and merged. Here is the final result without cropping. As you can see more vertical photographs were necessary on the east side. ![]() Canadaigua Lake- The View From Johnson Road

Love it! It's even nicer knowing how much work went into it.

Sounds like you put a ton of work into this Lil. You did a great job with getting the RAW files right to blend together as the same exposure. Love it.

Thank you very much.
Since you mentioned the work, here is a photo that I think communicates the benefit of utilizing large numbers of exposures in the creation of panoramic images. It allows for the resourcing of just the right component of each file. I believe it strengthens the final result. ![]() The totally black blocks you see here actually have tiny little white pieces that are hard to see in this size image.
