Okay. All this time I thought you were able to adjust levels within ACR. Thanks Mike.

Well, you ARE adjusting the levels...just not in the pretty "levels" box.
 I think CS3 and CS4 have additional options available during ACR.

You will always get more adjustability before the conversion. There is more information from the sensor available before it becomes a JPEG.
