If you have PS CS3 or PS CS4 you can do that. Elements alone is not capable. If you want to try out Photomatix without buying it go to www.hdrsoft.com . If you like it you can buy a serial number online...and to save a dollar or 2 go to www.stuckincustoms.com and find the coupon code.

Mike, I don't care about the $, I am at present using CS2, but if I need Photomatix then I will get it. You sure are a GREAT HELP!! THANKS!!! I went to the site- I believe I would want the whole thing, not just a couple plugins. Just the way I am.

Photomatix is a standalone program that you download from www.hdrsoft.com . It runs $99 but if you go to www.stuckincustoms.com and get a coupon code you can get it for $85. Not a bad deal if you ask me....or if you dont feel like visiting the site for the code, PM me and Ill give it to you.

Once you tone-map your bracketed shots in Photomatix, CS2 will be more than capable of cleaning up any digital noise that may present itself during the process.

K~ question? Why not shoot raw, then make several versions, say in Aperture, then just changing the exposure, then export on to PS????

You CAN do that JR, but you won't always be able to capture the full luminance range of the scene with one RAW.

If you have a relatively low contrast scene you can do that with good results...shooting directly into the sun or something like that will need multiple exposures.
