The season will be upon us soon and it can present it's own challenges.
Anyone up for a discussion?

I tend to hibernate during the winter. I do like to play with my studio lights and we try to have meetings with the photo group and work on classroom like discussions and demonstrations. We work on things like Composition, Getting to know your camera, Lighting, and other topics important to those learning their way into photography. I can't take all the credit, as Angela (angbrey) usually does most of the talking, and I help out with the techniques.

Well last winter was a bust for sure. I had a new 4X4 and was all ready-- nothing doing- no snow, :( Things may be different this winter, but now I don't know how laid up I will be with my shoulder. :( HERE IS ONE FORM A COUPLE YEARS AGO. :)

I can't WAIT to take some winter pictures...that is, if we get some snow this year. I REALLY want to hike to a frozen waterfall or two and try out some shots there.

Well they are calling for snow here. They keep changing the forecast-- NOT a good sign. Storms from the South, fronts from the West and Cold blowing in from the North. This combination has spelled disaster more than once in the last 45 years around here. :( :D

I take the dogs for hikes almost every day and I never go anywhere without my camera.

I'm with you... I believe a "I hate Winter" thread is in order. But, all of your photos make me enjoy looking at it! This webcam from the hotel in Aruba pretty much states where my head is at..

Well, the last 5 inches is almost gone, but it is now snowing for real-- calling for ICE on top if it in the early AM. A bad combination . hope I don't lose any more trees. :(

We are in a winter storm warning with our first dose of accumulating snow on the way....

The warm Atlantic waters are preventing snow here but there is supposed to be alot of rain. Flashflood warnings and high wind alerts. You guys have a headstart on me. Have fun......

There is something about a solitary bench, but the snow and ice makes it feel even more so alone.
