I went to Bonneville salt flats speedway today to get Pegdragger his salt and while there took a few pics. I will load up some more in my gallery as soon as I convert them from RAW format to JPG.

The pics are good Mike and the bike looks beautiful against that white.
For some reason I keep thinking of Burl Ives

Yeah, I shaved off my goat for job interviews and it makes me look like a big, happy guy. I hate it. I like looking menacing because people leave me alone. You coulda said a lot of things that wouldn't have bothered me as much as Burl Ives. :)

I'm sorry. I meant no harm. That is why I looked to find a happy picture of him.

Kinda like if I said you remind me of Aunt Bea on Mayberry RFD. :)

All of them are good but I like the last one best.

The first one for me, great display of the perspective.

Thanks. I only could figure out the 10 second timer delay so I had to run my fat ass like a mofo to get positioned before the shutter went off. :D

You try the HDR? Seems like a nice setting because of the white grains and bright blue sky to HDR the shot.

Next time I am down state with family I will log on here so that my brother-in-law can see what you just wrote. He may just begin calling me Aunt Bea.

I'm with the others ... pic 1 is my favourite! the fact that you had to run to beat the 10s timer just makes it all that much better!

Mike, I dont know about the D80, but my D70 Has a button n the back that you hold and spin the rear dial until the clock icon shows up in the read out on top f the camera where you set he shutter speed and etc...
I like the last one the best see more detail on the bike at the same time see the vastness of the area. Nice

He uses the gallery, but does not seem inclined to post in the forums.
