View Full Version : Off topic area
Well if nothing else but for myself I thought I would add the off topic area. Had a great weekend so far, my sister inlaw and brother inlaw are both over spending the weekend. Jeannie is on cloud nine and that makes my weekend like my first real days off in a month or two. Don't get me wrong I love my Jeannie more then anything in the world but a little time for me has been a good thing. Nice long ride and a welcome chance to catch up online. Jeannie of course gets the benefit of getting to talk with some besides myself or her nurse. She knew the weekend was coming and it was a big deal for her, she was so excited to see it come. I just dread the let down of the weekend being over but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
Thanks for letting me speak my peace.

Beautiful weather here in Utah finally. It has been a long time coming. I am heading out to Wendover to the Salt Flats. Gonna take some shots and enjoy riding my awesome bike. This is the most comfortable and best handling bike I have ever had. I really am happy with it.

You would have won that bet!
RIDE ON!
Well we went from a great weekend to a terrible weekend fast. I was afraid the weekend would be a real strain on Jeannie and it has been. Or maybe it has been that she was saving up all her energy for this weekend but whatever it is the weekend is over and Jeannie has taken a turn for the worse. I hope this is just a set back. I'm fortunate to have family right now to help with this. While my brother in law and sister in law have gone home my mother is here with me now helping.

If you were referring to me then sadly I have to report that I was not out riding. Spent most of the weekend at home with the kids, working on the bike, and knocking out a few projects around the house. Not complaining though...good family time all around.

Hey!!! Happy Fathers Day to all you Dads!!!!
I started my shift at 2:30 am tonight. We are now with Jeannie 24/7. Even if just to hold her hand someone is with her all the time. She just told me that she wasn't in pain for the first time in I don't know when. She hasn't eaten anything now in about 36 hours and I fear her systems are starting to shut down.

I'm glad you had a good time with the family for your Fathers Day weekend.
It was enjoyable enough for sure. Only downside was the eventual end of the weekend as a whole and the start of another work week.

Yes, true, but you are now one day closer to another weekend!
Well back on my Jeannie, she hasn't eaten a bite since saturday. She can barely get her meds down now but she is fighting for life like a championship boxer refusing to give up. The nurses tell me I need to let her go but it is Jeannie that is holding on and I have nothing to do with it. I just pray now she doesn't suffer any more then she needs to. Her fight is also making it more difficult to keep meds in her since she can no longer even swallow them. Everything is now liquid and only so much of that is disolved. Please say a prayer for my Jeannie today. THank you all.

Keeping you and Jeannie in my thoughts and prayers.
Well it appears my Jeannie slipped off into a coma last night about 9pm. I sat all night with her holding her hand and trying to make it easier for her to breath. Hospice showed up this morning with some other drugs that they started her own but we know this will be very short term. Now I just try to keep enough drugs in her so that I don't see pain on her face.
