Just might be a more affordable alternative to a full frame. Still pricey at $1699.00, but does look interesting...

And a hands-on review: Digital Photography Review (http://www.dpreview.com/previews/canoneos7d/)

I however, must continue to save my pennies for a new lens.

Cool....Looks like a nice lens. I would like to get some more lenses for my Nikon, but I am saving MY pennies for a new body, and I am really not sure if the next one will be DX or FX format.....so...no lenses for me just yet. ;)

Yes it does, but the sample images look really sharp!....so keep saving I bet it will be worth it!

I am kinda torn on this one as I am hell bent on FF but Dual Digic 4 has got me well interested...
Gonna wait for image samples from the real world types and go from there....Sigh

Mike, do you shoot at high ISO often or do you like the 8fps performance?

I like everything about this camera cept for crop sensor but hey at $1700 I will give it due diligence..
This is a high ISO shot from Lincoln Park yesterday and no flash (duh of course)
and of course No PP

Doesnt look bad at all to me. Of course there is a bit of sharpness lost due to the high ISO, but I can't see any noise. And I would rather have a slightly softer image than a noisy one.

The shot above is great, and a very minimal amount of PP would sharpen it up even more.

BTW I really think the shot is fantastic!!!
