I have two, 3.2MP cameras. One BY FAR takes better pictures than the other - even taken side-by-side of the same subject. Max touched on it before... it's the amount of light allowed in by the lens. The larger the circumference of the lens, the better.

Today is my birthday AND I got my big bonus. I am foaming at the mouth to go buy a camera RIGHT FREAKING NOW but, and this probably won't surprise those that know me, I am waffling between the Nikon and Canon and the D40 class and the D80 class of camera's.

Sweet agony.

I remember seeing a 60" x 40" poster of a picture of a cat taken with a 3.0 MP Nikon. It was clear, sharp and robust with color. I credited the photographer and the lens.
