Thank you.
You gave me back the gift of enjoying photography and that of finding some truly wonderful people with common interests by creating this place. Words cannot express how thankful I am.

I must concur to the extreme. There seems to be NO ONE here with an ax to grind. It was a privilege to be invited, and it is a privilege to know every one here. THANKS for putting up with me. :)

Ditto my sentiments, thanks once again Max. Its very quaint to have a friendly spot on the internet to frequent and share a similar passion.
No problem at all, it is something I enjoy. I know I haven't done much lately but I know at some point I will get back into it. Oh and Lil on the weekly theme, I was at a flea market yesterday and saw some things and people that might make a good challenge.

So the theme would be flea markets?
So the theme would be flea markets?
Well I would say you would have to pick a subject at them because I saw so much from some rare looking people to some real treasures for sale. It could be whatever you like it to be Lil I was just throwing that out.

How about this, For Sale: the treasures and people selling them?

How about "Visual storytelling at the flea market" or simply "Images of the flea market"?

Not at all, in fact Max is very happy that life is much quieter now that he doesn't run the 1130 cc site. It's funny how much stress that added to life.

My sentiments exactly Erin. I think 1130cc just got too big, so many people with different values, agendas, and consideration levels. Big difference between 5000 members and 26,000+.

Your exactly right, sometimes bigger isn't better. When the forum was within the first 2-3 years it was still like family. Then the 4-5th year we became a dis functional family. :) Don't get me wrong the forum and it's members made it possible for me to spend the remainder of my Jeannie's days with her and that I won't ever forget. I know that in 1.5 years my agreement with VS not to own a mc site expires. Until that time almost everything I do on my own bikes I'm just saving as data and when I open another mc site I will post the data then. But I plan to do it different, partly to keep the site from becoming what 1130 did.

It is funny, some of my closest friends I met on 1130cc, and now most of them are here too! :heart

And Max, I will always remember those events and time as being 1130cc's finest hour. When many stepped up and made some really special things happen, it was very good. That kind of love and concern doesn't happen every day on the internet. There was a quite a few special moments relating to the vrodforums family over the years. And we had excellent leadership too.

Max, whatever you put your time and effort into will work out well. This I am sure of because you attract very good people.

At one time 1130cc was my favorite place on the net. I still go there often but it seems to be more about the individual rather than the group. I'm glad for the time when you ran it Max and am very happy to hear you are thinking of starting another one!

I just hope that we can grow this site in some real way while keeping the photoclub feeling it has now. Thanks Ed for the idea that it is a club.

Lil I think in time this site will grow but I don't see it ever doing what the other site did. The other site only did that because at the time it was one of the only sites with v-rod information. In the photo world there are some good sites out there already.

Well, then I hope it grows enough to keep it worth maintaining.
