View Full Version : Who else has grease all over their camera?

When I do work on the bike, I frequently take a lot of photos in case I forget how something was. Did a lot of that today pulling the engine.

So now the camera body has a bit of grease, grime and oil on it....

Hey.. It's a Nikon.. It's suppose to be tough.

I put mine in a ziplok bag and cut an opening for the lens. I then put a rubber band around the lens. Yes, I am too anal.

Ya... That's a cheap version of what I was thinking of. Good idea. I was thinking abut getting one of those weather cases... not the solid underwater ones, but basically a thick ziplock with a UV filter on it.

That would be best because you would have a pretty air tight system and the uv might save your lense if your hands are greasy and you drop it.

I use this type of setup for shots under the weather, its better than nothing.

I get pollen on mine periodically. Haven't had to deal with grease as of yet.
