A friend of mine told me about some new software he found today. It is like and HDR software, but doesn't require the multiple exposures. The program is called Topaz and can be found here. (http://www.topazlabs.com/) The good part, they give you a free fully functional trial for 30 days. The bad part, if you like it, it will cost ya $350! It is pretty damn cool tho. Here's a couple I did before and after goofin around tonight.

Great results. I'm glad you started this thread because I've been thinking about software. I've been using Picasa.
Did those pics start life as jpegs or RAW Mike?

They were RAW pics Ed. No other PP happened in these shots besides the Topaz plug in. I kept it simple and used their default settings for the results I have here. You can tweak the results to your hearts desire. So much fun!

Thats one thing I've noticed. RAW pics come out great but when I try it with jpegs they seem to lose quality. Maybe it's the software I'm using. Care to give us a jpeg sample?

Gotta go pic up my honey at the airport in a few. I will try to dig up some either late tonight or tomorrow night in jpeg format and give it a whirl.

Ok, I got sucked in and had to do it. Here is a pic that I had on Flickr from last summer. It was originally shot in jpeg format, and I did a little bit of PP before posting it on Flickr last year. I downloaded it and opened it in PS. I saved a copy of the original. I opened it in PS and used one of the default settings called 'Spicify' and saved it. No tweaking on my part. Here are the two pics.

It appears to be a plugin for Elements and they do not support it for versions below 7. :(
