MOV clips ?

Max, i just uploaded a MOV clip to the member gallery
apart from being relatively large (35Mb) there's something odd : after loading the QT plug-in opens & starts playing the clip but it shows less film in the player window than the original clip on my pc

with less film i mean there's footage not visible e.g. when i pan towards the castle, in the original clip the whole castle + some surroundings are visible but here the player shows only the centered part and loses the rest so rather than cropping the original it cuts of all material that doesn't fit in the player window ? same thing when i zoom in on the bagpiper, his head is gone but not so in the original

also the player doesn't show any controls like e.g. media player does

btw : i run Firefox but also checked this in IE7, same result, the QT plug-in is 7.4.5

btw : left mouse button + arrow keys on my keyboard seem to work as player control buttons...
- mouse left click = pause
- mouse left double click = resume
- hold left arrow = rewind (or tap for frame p frame)
- right arrow = advance (or tap for frame p frame)
- down arrow = sound off
- up arrow = sound on

Well for the time being I turned off the media control so that you must click to view video. I think with all the different formats were going to allow that it will be a better option. The problem with allowing direct play is that we have so many different formats and so many different operating systems coming to view them.
