Yesterday was a good day. Not only did I get out on my motorcycle but I rode with my pops (68 yrs old) and we rode out to a friend of my dads house. Heres a gent who is 78 yrs old and rides also.

We stopped for lunch at a little taco restaurant which was as delicious as it always is. When we were done eating (and warming up) we stepped outside at the exact time a little Santa parade was starting. So I snapped a few cell phone shots for your viewing pleasure

Please look closely for the black pig?

Port Jeff! It has been way too long!

Okay, tell us about the black pig. I was relieved to discover that you weren't disparaging your ride.

I was hoping someone else knew the significance of the pig. I have no idea and thought it was odd. Port Jeff is a great destination for me when I dont know where to go. always has other bikers there and a choice of great little eateries.

Food for thought

Cuban Christmas Tradition (http://www.tasteofcuba.com/cuban_joke.html)
"Typical staples of a Cuban Christmas Eve party include the lechon asado (roasted pig), Moros y Cristianos (Black beans and rice), and plenty of Cuban cider to drink. The biggest tradition is to have a pig roast. The day before Christmas Eve, a pig would be selected, slaughtered, cleaned and would begin marinating for the cookout the roast the next day. Roasting your own pig is a big undertaking. Most Cubans living in the U.S. will purchase an 80 pound pig (maybe 100 lbs if you plan on feeding over 70 people with single servings) from their local butcher store."

Or maybe this from the German Christmas Holiday Calender (http://www.remmick.org/Remmick.German.Facts/Page1.html)
In Bavaria their Schweinethomas [St. Thomas Pig] Feast is celebrated with the Christmas Pig [Weihnachter] which ends the day the pigs are butchered to have meat and sausages used during the Christmas holidays. This made a Bloody Thomas [Blutiger Damerl]... To add humor to this, it was known that great friendly rivals stole the Christmas Pig [usually alive] with cunning, no bodily force was allowed. It was often a habit of farmers to sleep in the piggery to protect their Christmas pig from such "Tom-foolery".
