You know we pic a theme for a week and the assignment is to go out and shoot your version of the theme..
Be mindful of course the weekly submission cannot be micro bikinis as well it is kinda cold up yonder:D
Li'l did a great post on birds and well we could all find a bird this time of year or could we???
Just a thought might be fun:p

Considering that once it starts, snow tends to cover things up here until spring....
I'll certainly give it a go!

Ok so what rules??
Pic taken w/in last week or can we pull from the archives?
Who pics the theme or do we make the theme general like the 4 seasons?
PP worked or straight from the camera?
Rules rules rules Arghh.

Well, to get it started and to deal with weather conditions for some of us in colder/snowier climes how about allowing archives, but from digital original sources only?

I would suggest that we make up a list from members suggestions and we then put them in some arbitrary order of occurrence. What do you think?

As far as PP work is concerned, well how about we have two for each theme? One straight from the camera except for favorite crop and the other for PP?

That sounds like a great idea!
There are two types of photographers
1 Purists

After we get it started we can cull some folks over:D

Uhmm
Here is an idea we pass the torch around..
When it is your week to pick the theme post a picture of the theme and designate the recipient (at that time) of the following weeks theme.
This way the next person has a week to come up with and snap..
I will start this weeks theme with macro.
Shoot anything you like bug, flower, coin whatever...;)
Li'l you are limited in your area on what you can shoot so I nominate you for next weeks theme:D

The one above was taken with the Nikon. This is a Baby Jade taken with the Rebel.

This you may have already seen. It a personal favorite from my garden.
A Viola Johnny Jump Up bloom is no larger than a quarter. The white is natural to the flower and I will not process it out.

This idea of your's Mike is making me late for work.
I saw the chopsticks on the counter and had to give it a try.
It's okay. Not the sort of object I usually photograph.

Which is one of the reasons I love them so much. My Nikon did a great job of recording the color.

Well... while on a cruise last week, we decided we needed a small-form-factor digital camera. We took advantage of the duty-free and bought a little Olympus 850SW. The bonus with this camera is that it is waterproof to 10ft. While we were snorkeling, I dove down to get a close-up of that very colorful formation.

There are several other underwater shots in my gallery.

Wow guys! I think the theme thing is a great idea. One of my things to learn is macro. I recently started a photo group here in Albany and that will be one of our meetings' topics. I love the detail, but haven't figured out how to do it properly yet.
