Is it just me or are the major camera manufacturers lines getting so cluttered that it is hard to figure out what is what? I'm in the market for a mid-range camera and find the offerings from Nikon and Canon alone mind boggling. It's like sensory overload.

And it will only get worse as they come out with more "minis" with interchangeable lenses.

Heck, just the mid-range DSLR field is so crowded I can't make sense of it all. And I'm not exactly a rookie. How is the person new to the hobby supposed to figure it all out?

Have you ever searched on "camera photo forums"? There are millions of them and we don't even show up. Most places don't have a lot of nice people like we do. But it was a rhetorical question anyways. I know what you mean.

Michael, I believe it that way with just about EVERYTHING these days. :) In Winchester where we live, the stores are not even close to keeping current with the current selections. :)
