Lil here is a photo I found of buster today while going through some old hard drives. Shame for me was I found a ton of photos of Jeannie, while I love the pictures they bring back bitter sweet memories.

It is truly amazing how much joy that an animal can give a person. I bet Buster gave Jeannie some of her best temporary relief that she could have had. In both pictures it looks as though perhaps only for a moment she forgot her troubles. Now he has turned his attention to you and it appears he is having the same effect. I hope I'm not out of line. It does appear that way from the pics though.

Give that dog another bowl of icecream! :)

The dogs and I both tried to offer a kind of diversion. Jeannie and I were both very aware of what was going on but we didn't really talk about it and we did everything we could to enjoy each other and every day. She was so brave knowing what was coming, dealing with the extreme pain, and even offering me strength. She was such a special person. I still to this day live my life by the saying, what would Jeannie do and what would Jeannie think. I use that as my guide to life.

Your so right Lil she left me many things. She still lives inside of me and through me. I owe her the fact that I survived my own youth because of her.
