Second Day With Rebel. Overcast after rain. Macro setting and hand held. We have had a rain and the wind died down a bit.

Keep them coming Lil. Is that the same Echinacea that people ingest?

If I keep them coming too much longer you folks are not going to want to ever see flowers again. ;)

Yes, it is. It grows naturally here.

Lil, I love seeing the pictures you are taking. I just wish I had the time to get out there and do some picture taking myself. The colors here are starting to pop and it is beautiful. another week or so and it will be amazing here.

I'll let you in on a secret. I like to keep flowers in the house. I bring them home for Rose every week or two. She doesn't realize that I am not only bringing them home to make her smile, but also bringing them home to take in the basement and shoot!!! This week are alstramaria (sp?) and sunflowers. This way I can just go downstairs and shoot, versus trying to find the time to go out hiking for them. Hopefully things will slow down soon. I miss shooting!!!

Keep em coming!!!

I won't say a word. ;)

The interesting thing about taking pictures of wild flowers is that they are hard to come by in the near perfect form seen in commercially grown blooms. When people see the native plant they can be distracted by normal flaws.
