This shot was taken in Empire State Plaza facing the side of the capitol building. There are reflecting pools in the plaza that give amazing reflections of the surrounding buildings. I downloaded a trial version of Adobe Lightroom 2 and tried it out. Then I went into Photoshop and tweaked it a little more. The shot was taken just around dark. Let me know what you think. I like that it now has a cartoony feel.

Mike, I get the cartoony feel, but also sense a bit of aging. It could easily be transformed into a "painting" to take that concept even further.

Lil, lightroom is an amazing program. And that is with me downloading a free trial copy and guessing my way thru it. There were many filters on there that would make it sepia toned, washed out, look like pics from the 1800's, and sooooo much more. I now need to find $300 to buy it. It seems like it will be an amazing addition to Photoshop. I definitely suggest it if you are into editing and tweaking pics for cool effects. Thanks for he kind words.

Those Adobe programs are pricey, but are very liberating, aren't they.
Michael, that scene would sell even more if you were to somehow introduce a Christmas them to it. Can't you see it?

Frozen pool, snow, lit trees...I can see it. Maybe a trip back there is in order this winter....

yes I have lightroom 1.3 and for the casual photographer, it is a better tool than photoshop lite (forget the name) if you can only have either/or.

Lil, did I mention I HATE winter!!! Mostly because I cant ride the motorcycles anymore. I am not a fan of the cold, but love this part of the country. I usually hibernate in the winter time...
LAVRod, thanks for the compliment. This was my first try and I like it, but usedit with no knowledge ofhow it worked. I have Photoshop CS3, so when I got the results I kind of wanted i sent it to PS and worked on it more there....

So Mike, you are telling me I should not wait? :D
(I get your point about winter. So then, why do we live up here? ;) )
Neat picture, a lot can be done with that.
