Macaw in Corning, New York

These shots were taken on a bit of a dreary overcast late July afternoon outside of the Rockwell Museum of Western Art in Corning, New York. The bird was on a gentleman's hand. A little kid came by and began yelling out at it every few seconds. That caused the poor creature to jump and twitch often. I'm lucky to have gotten a shot at all. He was very talkative and friendly with me moments earlier when I held the camera near him so so that he could become familiar with the object.

Thank you gentlemen. There was an arts fair going on in the main street behind the museum. It was pretty hoppin's for an upstate NY town. It left me with a very good impression of Corning, which is nice because upstate is fast becoming an stayed part of the rust belt.
