Doing well, Just celebrated my Silver Anniversary! And finally got my home refi done! (it only took 7 months to do). :) This year we went big-er and got a 14 footer - had to buy extra lights and ornaments. Now if I can only keep the cats out of it.......

Way to go Molly!

In our old home there was a big maple tree. A centerpiece for the backyard. One time, at a barbecue, five or six adults all climbed the tree. They were giddy and gleeful as it was the first time they'd been up in a tree since childhood. Thanks for sparking a great memory you two.

This is my only Tangerine tree in back yard and produces over 400 fruit each year. I give away most of them to friends at christimas time and eat a few and make fresh Juice with rest. It has a picnic table under one side and board holding up a few limbs. Almost ready to pick very soon.

You have a very steady hand I used to be able to free hand night shots but those days are long gone:( I have to lean against something or use a tripod these days.

Although I held my breath and managed to get this one I will admit I shot it 30+times  the curly rope lights and the wheels lights were chasers So trying to catch it with them all lit was not real easy

The tractor is pulling a dog sled with a Christmas tree and packages in it.
When we decorated it I didn't think ahead Next time I will foil the wedged sides of the sled to distingush it better.

Hi Jeff, already having an iPod there was no need for one, but I did receive a very special and wonderful gift. My sister felt good enough to spend the day up and around with family for the entire day. It was a great joy and blessing.

Ali & CHarley must have doubled their weights with all the food they snagged from complicit members of the family. They work the cute factor to no end and get all the food they want. Neither one of them wants to do much of anything today. They are happy to be here and will be very excited to return home.

Do you know that while I was there shooting, the police woman was sitting in her car at the other end of the overlook. Was shooting with a regular lens. As soon as I put the 70-300 on, she came over and gave me the 'come hither' finger. So, I went to the car and she asked if the photos were business or personal. Apparently, you have to have a permit to shoot there if you plan on selling the photos, or profiting from them in any way.

She was really nice, and we talked about the Drop Off sign. She mentioned how she has used pics of that sign many times in court to charge people. I also mentioned that it has been used on here several times for comedy purposes. She also said that there is a zero tolerance policy for people that climb over the wall.

Where do you go to get the permit? In NYC for still photography in the parks you must apply through the Office of the Mayor.

I was discussing that with the officer as well. That is why they are so strict on the zero tolerance policy. A PEST?? Haven't heard that, but I know very little about them. I know now, they will be getting some GIANT size leaves. I have caught my neighbor a couple times putting some in my yard, over the fence.:rofl::paper:

Another very special beauty. I've never seen such a tree. If I were to head down your way, I'd get lost in all of the newness. Nice J. R.!

From East Asia ~ fossils have been found dating these trees back 270 million years. They do get berries, but raw, they are deadly to humans. They can be cooked and eaten, but can still cause problems. In the Fall, the leaves get a bright yellow. Not sure when the berries arrive, but will be on the look out. Hope you enjoy these as much as I do. :)

Sometimes a different view creates a whole different appreciation of things. The first tree is I believe, a Walnut, caught at sunrise.

This second tree was caught at sunset and as yet remains unidentified. The small dots you see are seeds?? :)

Beautiful, JR. I'm not sure I see the pony. There is something white towards the right hand side of the shot?
